I have a Maytag Performa washing machine that is now walking all over my house. I have the unit apart and the 6 springs for the tub are in place and are not broken. Is there something else I should look for inregards to this problem or is it just that the springs are weak ?

That's always going to be your call: The Performa was an Amana (I think) brand that maytag acquired; and isn't as valuable as their old "Dependable Care" line.
If you but the part and it doesn't solve your vibration problem, You have invested a couple hundred dollars. That's about half the price of a new Estate washer.
Depending on where you live, if you were to call in a professional for a live diagnosis, that may come pretty close to $100.
