Here are your parts
Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL LER4634JQ0 | AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is the wiring diagram, see attachment

It could be the timer but there are other parts that are more likely to cause a problem.

If it has a drum light is the light still working?
If not you may have a power problem.
Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker.

Does manually pushing the door switch shut the light off.
If yes, this tell you that the door switch is operating.
Note: It does not tell you that the Normally Open contacts in the switch are closing.

Could be the thermal fuse (Item 19 in Section 3) is blown.
Unplug the unit and check the fuse with a meter should be 0 ohms.

Jiggery Pokery method is.
Unplug the unit.
Remove both wires from the fuse, short them together and tape them up so they will not short to the frame.
Plug the unit in and give it a try.

If blown, replace the fuse ASAP as it is a critical safety device re: prevents lint fires which can turn into house fires.

Also clean/check your vent system and the blower as these are the most common causes of it blowing.

Shirly, It will most likely be the thermal fuse. If you unplug the dryer, and take the big back panel off, you will see a thin white part, about and inch and a half long, by a half inch wide. It will have 1 screw holding it in place, and 2 wires coming to it. In cased you don't have a meter, to check it for ohms. You can take the 2 wires off of the thermal fuse, and then put the wire terminal ends together, that you took off the thermal fuse, and then get some tape and wrap in around the terminal ends to keep them together, and to cover them completely, so they don't hit metal. Once you have that done, plug the dryer back in and see if it works. If so, you cannot run the dryer that way. I just told you to do it this way, so you can know for sure, and not spend money on parts needless, if you don't have a meter. So, if it works, buy a thermal fuse, and you have it. If not, less us know. Tom Appliance Educator, Appliance Parts, Washer and Dryer Parts, Refridgerator and Freezer Parts, Stove and Oven Parts
