My Whirlpool dryer does not dry my clothing.
It gets very hot and spins but the clothes just come out soaking wet and hot. When you open the dryer, it is very humid and the walls of the dryer are damp. Could there be something stuck inside the vents that it's not letting the steam out?
Also, the lint catcher comes out completely clean- not a single piece of lint is on it which makes me think that something is clogged and not letting the air out.

Yes, you need to clean all internal and external vent ducting.

Do I need to take the back of the dryer off to do this?

Yes, to remove the lint chute so you can check inside the lint chute and inside the blower housing. You must also clean out your external ducting. There are kits available for doing this. Something is totally blocking your air flow. This is a fire hazard. Here is the parts manual for your model.
