Can you hear the clicking sound when you turn this burner on? Would this burner igniter spark if you turn on any other burner? If the first answer is NO while the second is YES, then the problem is a bad ignition switch (#9 on the diagram) for this burner. - The ignition switch Part number: AP2994649

no clicking sound from the burner, no spark at all, just gas. interestingly, i just cleaned it, and it sparked for a while, but kept sparking (along with the other three burners) even after lit. then it just stopped sparking (and clicking) altogether.

Sounds like the problem is a bad spark module (#1 on the diagram). Make sure the ceramic part of the burner igniter is not damaged. - The spark module Part number: AP2994560
