I replaced the igniter on my dryer model # kgys850gz0 thinking this would solve my problem of no heat. After I replaced the ingiter I noticed it would not heat up when I turn it on. My guess is a relay not letting the igniter get power. I do not want to replace every thing. So what or who do I check the other parts? I know how to use a meter I just need directions on what to check and the values. David

David,

The first part you may want to check for continuity is the thermal fuse (#6 on the diagram). You have to remove the rear panel to access the part.

If the thermal fuse is open, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the cycling thermostat (#7) as well.

Make sure the vent line is clear all the way out.
