The dishwasher appears to be receiving very little water and will not disolve the detergant. I have checked the water valve to the unit and it is ok, what could be wrong with the unit and how do I diagnose?

Hi Kip Harkness

If there is nothing wrong with the water shut off valve under the sink then the problem is a bad or clogged water inlet valve in the dishwasher and it has to be replaced.

- The part number for the new water inlet valve AP2039339

Good luck.
Gene.
