Everytime our frigidaire stops making ice it's because I turned the temp below 6 or 7. Turn the temp up. With in minutes ours makes ice again. It's worth the try!

You may want to measure the temperature in the freezer.

Hi- I have a Kenmore side by side, model number 106.56566400

The ice maker is not filling with water. I checked the fill tube and it is not frozen. I reversed the pump connectors and get water into the ice maker when I press the water switch.

What should I check next? My ice maker model number is 626663

Thanks for your help. This site has already helped me with all troubleshooting steps up until now. A great help!

Make sure the ice maker "on-off" switch on the right side is in "on" position. Open the freezer door, press in the emitter flapper door (on the left side) to unblock the optics beam and view the diagnostics "status" LED on the right side.

Post the results.

Solid red light when flap is pushed in.

When not pushed in and door is open, two blinks, then pause, then two blinks

Sounds like the problem is a bad ice maker.

my 4.5 year old Kenmore mdl 106.55603400 stopped making ice 3 days ago and made one round of ice today. So 1 tray in 4 days. Replaced the PUR filter even though it was getting water in door (and continues to get water in door just fine). I'm guessing the line isn't frozen because it filled this morning, but as stated, IM was dry for 3 days. Emitter light in freezer is blink-blink-pause-blink-blink-pause constantly, no matter if you hold the lever down on the left. Paddles in IM have been in the up position most all day and it has yet to dump today. Would really, really appreciate some wisdom. Of course this happens < 6 months out of warranty! Max temperature setting for freezer is +5, recommended setting is 0, I have it set at 1 deg. Thanks so much for your wisdom. This is a great site!
