I am unable to locate the model number on my GE double oven. The house was built in 1984 and I suspect this is the original oven. I was able to cross reference the numbers on the bake and broil elements. I recently replaced both. Now I need to replace the temperature probe but I do not have the part number. It measures 10 3/4" long and here is what it looks like . . . mthornell attached the following image(s):

Looks like this will be more that a modern temperature sensor. Probably is an integral part of the oven thermostat.
Try to get a manufacturers number off the part. |

The first part number cross referenced to AP2623073. Do I need the entire assembly or can the probe be ordered separately?

It must be purchased as an assembly. The probe cannot be separated from the thermostat. |

PS235170 is Part number: AP2623073
PS235127 is Part number: AP2633815
Looking at the models this is used on they all are gas units. I cannot explain why it has both numbers. Perhaps compare the above with the one in the unit. If you click on the first picture it will give you more views. Also mention this when calling AppliancePartsPros, they may have a better description. |
