The run pin is usually on the left bottom. Resistance to this pin from the top common pin will be lower than the resistance between the top pin and the right one, is this correct.

Top right is about 6ohms and top left is 3 ohms

The common pin is on the bottom. The run and start pins are next to each other on the top.

You can go to my article "replacing compressor start devices", just put it in the search box. Hope this is not too confusing.

Very good, your run pin is the lower resistance one. I just spent some time updating my article "replacing compressor start devices" Please go there and finish the job.

Your measurements might be in error or your compressor is an oddball. Usually the run spade terminals on the start device are double to facilitate both fridg and run capacitor wires and the start spade terminal just one for the other run capacitor wire. In production, they usually run a lot of fine wire for the start winding to get a lot of starting torque. This means it will have higher resistance. Just double check. To verify proper installation, measure the resistance of the start device pin you believe is the start winding to the klixon, should be just the start winding resistance, in your case 6 ohms. The run pin should be the parallel combination of 3 ohms and about 14 ohms including the ptr relay resistance of about 8 ohms and the start winding of 6 ohms, about 2.4 ohms.
