When I push the start button, the rinse only light flashes. Nothing else happens. Push cancel and the cancel light flashes, but nothing else happens.
I removed all the wires on the control paanel and reattached them and it worked for one cycle but is now dead again.

Hi David, Most likely the problem is a stuck one or more pad(s) on the key pad which is a part of the control panel. In order to provide the right part number I need the color of it. Here are the break down diagrams for the Kitchen Aid dishwasher Model KUDI01TJBL0Gene.

This is from the tech sheet. STUCK KEY: If the control detects that a key is stuck in the depressed position,
dishwasher operation will be suspended and the control will flash the
light for that key until the condition is corrected. If a key without a light is
stuck or multiple keys are stuck, the control will flash the light for the Rinse
Only/Quick Rinse key.
