Sounds like a malfunctioning damper control.

Try setting your refrigerator temperature to a warmer setting, and see how it responds.

I have tried many different temperature settings and the temp in the refrigerator is 29. The damper is always open. I ran the service diagnostics and everything passed. I thought it was going to be the damper/baffle motor not working, but it opened and closed with the test.

Since you say the damper responds to the service mode commands, I would suspect that the problem lies in the main control board. It apparently isn't getting or responding to a signal from the thermister. 29 degrees is far too cold for the refrigerator. Part number: AP3685685

Glad you were able to get it. Probably saved yourself a ton of money, too. Well done!

I have a probelm where the refrig side is freezing and the the drainage from the defrost cycle in freezer is freezing at the bottom drip pan before it emptys.
Ran diagnostic per tech manual and got a 1 for #1 and 2 in the diagnostic scheme and the next 4 were blank. I did hear the baffle rotate...it was clicking slighly is that normal? It seemed like the other fuctions "kicked" in by hearing it or getting some vibration from the test.
Where do I go from here? I will heat the frozen defrost water so it drains but would like a permnanet fix. In the past the drain froze but not the refrig compartment. Thank you in advance. Mike Z
