If the fresh food section is freezing it coud be that your thermister is out of range. When in diognostic mode see what the thermister temp is and chk temp your self. To stop your defrost drain from freezing take a stripped copper wire wrap mit around defrost htr and stick it down the drain tube, not too far though it will conduct heat while in defrost mode. hope this helps.

Thank you. When in diagnostic mode I can cycle through the steps but the result is just a blank display next to it in steps 3 through 6. Should there be a number or indication? I am asking since you indicated the thermistor could be checked that way. I did get the digit 1 in cycle steps 1 and 2 when performing the test. So that means the thermistor must be OK?
I will take you suggestion on the freeze up. That becomes quite a mess. Big help!

I will take you suggestion on the freeze up. That becomes quite a mess. Big help! I added the copper wire from the heating element and it still freezes. The temperature in the freezer is 14F and is likely why the food section is overly cold as well. Babble works and defrost works since the poolof water is there. It is freezing before it can drain. Orderly the control card and crossing fingers. Expensive guess but probably the odds are in my favor. Thanks for your help!
