I bought oven 10 years ago and am getting error codes F-2 and F-3. Do you think I should repair oven or replace.? These codes may mean replace ECR and temperature sensor, is that correct? Is that a big job to install? Is life of oven extended for a long time possibly if I repair?
Thank you.

Ewide,

The F2, F3, codes as you mentioned, are usually a bad oven temperature sensor(90-95 % of the time).

Part number: AP2023670
Part number: AP2023670

It's a relatively inexpensive repair, as well as an easy repair,(in most cases you can remove and replace the sensor, without using more than 1 tool and don't have to move the unit at all).

No, it's not going to extend the life of your range, but you should be fine for quite a while.

Even if you need an ERC, it's still less expensive than a new range.

Good Luck,
:) :) :)

Ellen,

You're quite welcome,

As I said previously, be careful, make sure you turn the power off to the range, when you remove the temp. sensor, be slow and don't "yank" on the wires.

Good Luck,
:) :) :)
