Whirlpool Gas Dryer Runs, Start Heating then gas heat goes off - stays off...

Gas dryer starts/runs ok AT START... but heating stops after about 5-10min (with tumbler/blower still going). To be clear, sequence is: - dryer starts/runs AS NORMAL for a minute or so... - then i can see glow/igniter start... - gas flame lights & runs as normal for ~5-10min... > but then stops & does not relight (although I've seen glow/igniter heat up) - dryer continued tumbling on with cool air.
:-(
Other info: * if allowed to cool down for say 5min, will restart above sequence * if a quick 1min stop/restart tried, there is no gas re-lighting (although glow/igniter goes on for a few seconds)
* I suspect the sensor (on heater section), yes/no? It measure less than 1ohm accross whether hot OR cold.
* i have not tested/measured other thermostats...
Thx.
DRS Can see the glow/igniter

Found that: -Sensor continuity good, at ~0 ohms (still); -Main thermostat, has 4 leads; > with ~0 ohms between two of them and > approx. 7k ohms between the 2nd set of leads. -Backup thermostat at 0 ohms Whether hot or cold, the resistances above do not seem to change.
Let me know that you think.
Thx.

It was a detached measurement...
Add'l. info: Also, when dryer unning, no voltage DROP accross any of the (three) sensors/thermostats... (measures 117vac at each terminal)...

I'd have to say the regulator is going out.

DRS, According to your description, most likely the problem with your dryer is a bad gas valve coils. - The part number for the kit of coils is AP3094251 Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dryer Model SGDS800HQ0Gene.

The coils are on top of the regulator. You can see them on the break down of your dryer. Hope that helps. Gene was more help than I was. Glad he jumped in! Nat
