My GE dishwasher does not fill with water. I have checked the Solenoid Water Valve and it is working properly. Any suggestions of what else can be wrong?

Did you check it when it was in the machine. If it is getting 120 volts and not opening then it is toast. I also connected to a different power source and the Valve opened. Was the unit still on the machine with a water supply to it and did the machine start filling. If yes then then next thing to check is the overflow switch as it is wired in series with the fill valve. |

' A couple more things: There is no voltage reading at the water valve nor at the Float switch when running the dishwasher in rinse mode. I ran the service Mode of the dishwasher. I pressed Cookware + Heated dry for 3 seconds then ran through the service modes. 4L - Drain pump did not activate; however I dumped some water in the dishwasher with a bucket and when I hit the reset button, it pumps the water out of the dishwasher. 5L does not activate Water Valve. I am stumpted!

If you have no voltage across the water valve/ overfill switch combo and the wires up to the control board are OK then odds are that the control board is toast. |

The control board being the "mother" board? I have the same no fill with my PDW7880G00SS dishwasher. I have replaced the water fill valve, the float swith and the "mother" board. I have confirmed the dishwasher does have a source of water. No water filling the machine. All other functions appear to be working fine. Would a control switch (outside the machine used to control cycles and start the dishwasher) be the cause? All wiring appears to be intact. Nothing obviously broken or disconnected. Thanks in advance for any help.
