I have the loud noise, the verticle tub movement and brown grease splatter in the rear of the washer, is there a bearing replacement kit for the outer tub for this older model
Thanks, Tony.

The last time I did one of these it took a part AP4028180 to fix it.

I have heard of people removing the rear bearing and pressing in new ones, but I've never done it myself. It would be a fairly complicated job and I have no idea how durable the repair would be.

UPDATE, I finished the repair, it was a lot of work, but we have a machine that operates quietly, the kit & tool rental cost me $168.00 vs the $568.00 outertub cost that would also be about the same amount of work.
Regards, Tonywh.:)

Cool! I'm glad to hear there is another way to repair these. Usually when I tell a customer how much its going to cost to repair, they decide to buy a new one.
