Help with removing old refrigerator door handle to replace with new

I have a dented refrigerator handle that I would like to replace. Unfortunately our owners manual does not address this issue. The screw holes are covered with a small panel or font of some kind and I do not want to damage this, as I am sure that I will need to use it to cover up the screw holes, etc when the new handle is in place. Any ideas how to remove this panel? Thanks!

Thanks, but I already know the model number of the refrigerator and the part number for the handle also. I need to know how to take off the handle to put on the new one. If that was in your message, I missed it. Thanks!

Did you click on the model# in my message, that will take you to the parts breakdown so you can see how it is attached, and what needs to be taken off to replace the handle.

Thanks so much for trying...but when clicking on the model number and then scrolling down to the actual area where the part is (in this case the refrigerator or freezer door, as they both have the same handles), when you click on the handle, part # AP2986478, it comes up with no image.... hence, there are no directions that I can see or access. Unless, I am doing something wrong. Thanks again!:)
