Not sure what the question is.
If the diode is shorted then it would blow the main fuse. |

Please do not take the following the wrong way as I am only trying to help.
It does not sound like you have any experience with electronics. If this is the case I recommend you just replace the unit.
Microwaves are definitely not the unit to learn on due to the high voltages involved. Many of these units do not drain the high voltage so even with the unit unplugged there is dangerous voltage present. I just do not want to see you get hurt. |

Ok thanks for that but I may not be as smart as everyone on this forum but I do a lot guitar amp repair . When I asked about the diode it was because when I first looked at the microwave and it was on the white side and I wanted to make sure I was looing at it right. I already replaced the the HV Capactitor and HV diode on it. I didnt know where to go next

but I may not be as smart as everyone on this forum I did say "Please do not take the following the wrong way". It has nothing to do with smart, it is about having the knowledge and experience working with high voltage. When I asked about the diode it was because when I first looked at the microwave and it was on the white side and I wanted to make sure I was looing at it right This I cannot explain either the schematic is wrong or someone has messed with the unit and installed the diode wrong. The following may help Notes on the Troubleshooting and Repair of Microwave Ovens |
