My fridge stopped working; I replaced the timer, then the thermostat, now it works, but I have a frost built-up on the lower back panel in the freezer. I have no clue what to do next. Any help for this gal.

Girl W/O,

Check for a clogged, frozen defrost drain pan and tube.

Check and make sure, the freezer door seal and mullion strip are sealing proper ,

Check the refrigerator ceiling for ice, frost, or droplets.

I'm guessing, you determined the defrost heater was OK ?

Start there, and let us know what you found.

Good Luck,

:) :) :)

Joe, I will check the heater; I'm not sure where it is, but I have a book, so that should make it easier. Sorry about being in the oven--forum. I'm new as you can tell, but trying to learn.

Not a Problem...

Your defrost heater is attached to the evaporator, runs across the bottom and about 1/2 way up both sides.

Be carefull,

The fins on the evaporator are SHARP.
