Our dryer dryes the clothes but is all full of sooty black stuff. Our whites are turning grey. Is this a gas problem (bottled gas dryer). Regulator problem to the dryer? Problem with the burner in the dryer? Help I have no repairman available!

Your regulator on the propane bottle may be going bad and allowing the flame to travel up the dryer vent too far. If your front panel has a viewing port, check the flame, if not, you might want to look inside the dryer while it is running. Do this for a short period as the thermal fuse might blow from this viewing.

It may be that your dryer is not set up correctly for propane gas. Get your propane supplier to check the dryer out. They should do it as a courtesy.
