I have a frigidaire upright freezer ( model UF-160T) and I would like to make it into a refrigerator. I have turned the themostat to the lowest (warmest setting) and it still freezes. I have been told to replace the thermostat with a refrigerator thermostat. Will any thermostat work or do I need a certain kind.
Also, there are 2 set screws in the fridgedaire thermostat that say "cut in" and "cut out" with arrrows going in a clockwise direction. Can those set screws be turned to adjust the temperture above 32 degrees?

A domestic freezer compressor will crap out prematurely due to heavy start loads from the high temperature runs and lack of cooling with high compressor temps.
