numbers,
Viking does not provide any information on-line but if you can be more specific on the problem and description of the unit we might be able to help you.

I am working on a viking stove model # VGRC4856QDS8. The spark modules would continue to spark even after the the flame was lit. If you turned on either the 3 burners on the right side, or the 4 burners on the left side, the spark would stop and the stove would work properly. I replaced both spark modules with a 4 point re-igniter from tytronics. I also replaced all 7 spark ignitors and I still have the same problem.

Most likely the cause of the problem is one or more igniters. Bad ground, excessive grease or cracked ceramic insulation - that's what you have to look for.

Thank you. I'll check for bad grounds. The ignitors are new and there is no grease.

I have the same problem with all (4) of the stove's ignitors spark continuously even when none of the burner switch is turned on. I replaced the ignitor module but the problem has remained. The ignitors spark continuously even when the wire to all four burner switches were disconnected. I had to unplug the range and have been using a match for several years. I am hesitant to buy a second new module since the first one costed $150 and it didn't solved the problem. My range is a Kenmore moel 911 7360190. The original module is Harper-Wyman 6526. The replacement module is Harper- Wyman 6540.
I appreciate any help.

It could be defective new part, reversed polarity on the electrical connection for the spark module or missing ground. Gene.

I had the same problem. None of my igniters worked so I replace the ignition module. All of the igniters sparked when any burner was lit. I used the same ground screw location as the original module when I installed the new module. Just for grins I tried screwing the ground wire into a different location. Voila - problem solved!
