I was wondering what could be wrong with my dryer. The tub quit turning this evening. And would it be worth repairing? Price wise? c2heinen

Hi,
If you can still hear the motor running, but the drum just does not turn on it's own anymore then you need a new belt.

How would I change the belt on Whirlpool Estate Dryer (EED4300TQ)? I have removed the back, but could not find anything back there. Is there some type of manual I can get to do this?

yank the filter out the top remove the 2 screws holding the filter housing to the top. pop the top using putty knife. remove crews from inside front panel. Raise up on front panel and remove. remove the drum and inspect the idler and wheels replace all defective parts. make sure the belt is not twisted. Insert the idler into the floor and raise it up so that you can loop the belt onto the motor pulley. replace the front and snap down the top. Easy fix.

An estate is a plain jane whirlpool dryer without all the fancy bells and whistles. My directions above will work:yank the filter out the top remove the 2 screws holding the filter housing to the top. pop the top using putty knife. remove screws from inside front panel. Raise up on front panel and remove. remove the drum and inspect the idler and wheels replace all defective parts. make sure the belt is not twisted. Insert the idler into the floor and raise it up so that you can loop the belt onto the motor pulley. replace the front and snap down the top. Easy fix.
