Water drips from the back center in the cool box directly under the freezer box. I suspect that the defroster unit is not evaporating the resulting water??? How can I further troubleshoot to determine the cause exactly? I have studied the parts exploded diagram and went to the refrigerator but I cannot determine exactly where the evaporator system is located and thus how to get to it? - to see it - to test it - and if I could, what tests should I perform?
Thanks for some clues - I am generally very handy but this one has me stumped.

Remove the back freezer panel and check the drain, probably frozen. I use a turkey baster and hot water to flush it out.

Thanks - Is that how I access the parts of the defroster? ... from the back? What can be done to help prevent it from freezing over and plugging again?

Usually dirt gets in the drain and causes the clog. Use a turkey baster to force the clog out. You can try a 12 gauge copper wire wrapped around the heater and down the drain to thaw it during defrost period, not always possible though.
