Despite being charged for both pricey boards, only one was sent with no notice of the other being back ordered, until the box arrived and no expected ship date. Not good customer service.

I still believe the ERC should be replaced first. You have to talk to the APP team to find the ETA.

Dear walepirot,

Our apologies for overlooking the backorder and not notifing you. It is possible the warehouse was showing one in stock at the time you placed your order but were unable to locate it.
I see that you have spoke with a representative to cancel the backorder and credit to be issued. We will also issue credit to your $6.95 shipping as well.
If you need to return the part you recieved for credit please call us toll free 1-877-477-7278 and have one of our represtives send you a pick up tag. If you have not opened the FedEx package you may also refuse the unopened pack to receive you credit sooner without having to wait for a pickup tag in the mail.
I also checked further into the backordered part and it seems the manufacturer ( Whirlpool ) is giving us an estimated time of arrival on or around 12/22/2010 which means if no one has it in stock they will have to wait as well.

Again we apologize for the inconvenience. We do value your business and always want to make things right the best way we possible can.

Thanks so much, Gene and APP. I appreciate the reply but don't see how we can go so long without an oven. The relay board did not change anything.

Try PCBR.BIZ Maybe they can rebuild the old ERC.

I will check to see if Whirlpool can troubleshoot the board, I guess.

Is there any point in having Gene come to look at it? ( and set the icemaker timer properly, on our SubZero?)

Are you a SubZero tech? Our's has an icemaker, and was originally fed reverse osmosis water through a long 1/4" line. That did not work eventually, so it's now fed a lot more water. Problem is, it freezes a huge chunk, rendering the icemaker a big cube and nonfunctional, so it's unused. I think it would work fine if the timer knob for the cube filler was set properly. The documentation is non-existent and the knob has no label to indicate which was is more; which way is less time.

Also, is there nothing you can do for the oven by seeing it?

thanks for your help. mike

If you are talking about water level adjustment screw, it should be turned CCW to decrease the water amount. Turn it slowly and no more than 1/2 turn at a time and no more than 11/2 turns all together.

Regarding the oven I'm afraid there is not much what can be done without the new ERC.
