Checked the motor and it works fine and the coupler has no broken parts at all. The washing machine makes a humming/grinding noise and the agitator barely moves. The water does drain out of the tube and that's about it.

It's starting to sound like you've got a bad gearcase(transmission), if you're sure you motor works and the coupler is in tact.

If you can feel the gears not meshing, if it jams up , locks up,clunking noise, you've got a bad gearbox, and will need to replace the gearcase. Good Luck, :) :) :)
