Originally my fridge quite providing water; however after trying to troubleshoot my unit, I believe I may damaged some circuitry cause now the ice maker quit also. The fridge and freezer sections work, but I get no ice or water from my dispenser. Does the fridge have a fuze on this circuit? If so, where can I find it? Any other ideas? Finally is there a water filter that needs to be serviced?

Hi Brian,

Check the wire harness at the freezer top door hinge.

Check the freezer light switch.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool refrigerator Model ED22PWXXW00

Thanks Gene, light works in freezer, so assume switch is ok. I'll look over the other info tonight; Prior to me mucking around the light (night light) and ice dispenser worked...however as I was checking the water dispenser micro switch for continuity, one of the loose wires arc'd when the wire touched the support frame. Now seems as if I get no power to this module.

Hi Brian,

As you can see from the wiring diagram , the freezer light switch has two positions and switches power between the freezer light and the dispensers. You have to remove the switch and check it for continuity across the terminals 1 & 3 while the switch is depressed.

Post the results.

Gene.
