Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 9/12/2007(UTC) Posts: 3		I have a gas stove and the oven has been getting slower to light to the point that i wait up to 30 minutes. I repalced the valve thinking that it was sticking with no possitive results. Is there a safety sensor or a poor power issue that could cause the valve to opening to be delayed????

In order to help you better I need the complete model number of the oven. The model number you posted is incorrect. Gene.

Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 7/29/2008(UTC) Posts: 1		Will the universal igniter such as Stove/Oven/Range Universal Flat-Style Ignitor - 12400035 work on the Viking? The oven was slow to light and now doesn't light...although both igniters glow red hot. Amp draw is 2.75 per unit when excited. Overall length of igniter is 4-1/2 inches but the ceramic extends out the back of the bracket. From the end of the igniter to the center of the first mounting screw hole is 2-3/16". Occassionaly the oven will light if I tap the gas valve.

You can use any kind of flat igniters as a replacement. The length of the ceramic can be shorter than on the original. The Maytag universal igniter 12400035 (APP item number AP205873) is a good choice. Gene.
