Hi, My oven is slow to light with an accompaning smell of gas. I took out the bottom pan & observed the process. When I turned the oven on the ignitor eventually glowed, but it took awhile after that for the burner to light (the whole process taking about 3-5 min) and while this is going on you can smell gas I might add, that I obseved this with the oven door being open When the oven door is closed, it lights with a...WHOOSH!

The oven igniter is bad and has to be replaced. No doubt about it. - The part number for the oven igniter is AP205873 Here are the break down diagrams for the Magic Chef range Model CGR3765ADCGene.
