I have one of the infamous front loading Kenmores with the spider arm assembly issue. Fixed that a few months ago and now the unit will not drain or spin. It rotates both ways during the wash cycles so I know the motor and the belt are fine.
Any ideas?

You may want to check the door lock/switch assembly. The instructions should be in the tech sheet behind the front bottom panel.

Here is the Wiring diagram.

The disassembly instructions are attached to the reply.
