Do this, take out your ice bucket, now close freezer door select cubed ice, and tell me if you hear a clunk when you push the arm to get cubed ice. That cluck should come from your solenoid, which is located in the assy behind the ice bucket.

I checked sw. If I wiggle light stay on and when pushed little freezer light goes off. so is that good? I pulled it down from freezer wall it got org, grey and black wires on it. Terminals are covered, should I check voltage in any of those when SW is on/off position. I also removed ice tray and try to dispense ice with door close but did'nt hear solenoid click. I saw metal plate with bunch of screws in front of ice maker. Is solenoid and motor behind it?

Do this, go to the back of the fridge, and remove the cover to the board, now check resistance at J7-2 to J7-9, should read 39ohms, then check J7-1 to J7-9 should be 2ohms....Post results... J7-1 wire is violet/black...J7-9 wire is orange. J7-1 is black/white

I checked the resistance it shows zero resistance both wires. I had digital meter and set at 200 ohm.

Did you unplug the connector and check resistance? If you did, that means both the augermotor and cube/crush solenoid are open, so because I doubt both are bad, take the icebucket out, and that panel that has all the screws and a square hole on the bottom left.....remove the 4 outer screws 2 on the right and 2 on the left and pull the whole assembly forward, it will only come so far, as it is pluged into the back right of the wall. inspect that plug, pull it out look at it, make sure no frozen water is inside of it, make sure it is plugged in firm, and post the results.

Ok I removed 4 screws and pulled the assembly out. it just came right out, which tells me the plug from assembly some how got unpluged, froze shrink????? So I pluged that back in the wall and every thing works like charm, now I can get 2 ohm and 39 ohm resistance at j7 plug wires. Thank you so much for guiding me through all this. I had no clue when started. Without your help I could never ever have fixed my fridge.

thank you for your post . I followed the instructions and pulled the plug from the back of the freezer and the one from the ice maker to the auger. I checked the purple and orange wire crimped them to make sure of a good connection . I plugged them back in and it is back working. Thanks for saving a service call!!! Much appreciated :) :)
