My whirlpool washer is not spinning the clothes dry. I have to hand wring the clothes before I place in the dryer. any Idea what the problem could be

Does the lid switch click when the lid shuts? If its in the spin cycle and not spinning. Try moving the timer knob up and down, left and right. Does that make it spin? Also if you have the model number please post it.

Ser# LM100554G 120V 60hz 10.0 amps This is all the info I could find. The washer is not completely drying the clothes. There is no standing water at the end of the cycle but the clothes has to be hand wrung out before placing in the dryer. The washer does not turn off when the door in opened.

I know tons of stuff about Whirlpool washers and their related brands, but GE.......not so much. I leave this to people that are more knowledgeable about GE than myself.
