I was hoping someone could help me determine which part needs to be replace in our GE oven. The broiler works but the oven will not heat up. It worked the night before and late that evening we had a power outage for several hours due to bad storms. Could that have caused the problem? Thanks for any help.

Does everything else work, just not bake, if that's the case, your bake glowbar may be bad. When you program it to bake, do you get a glow at all?

Everything else works, it's just seems to be the oven that won't heat. I also don't see any type of glow. Thanks for any help. John

Take an ohm reading of your glowbar, should be between 50-150ohms, if not within this range, your glowbar needs to be replaced
