The on/off light indicator wont shut off even if all of the stove top cooking elements are off.

I replaced a cooktop element control switch as the old one burnt out but the light still remains on.:eek:

Most likely the pilot circuit on some other switch is shorted too.

Remove the power from the range, open the control panel and remove the pilot wires from all switches. Check for continuity across the L1 & P terminals on each switch while the switch is in "off" position. Switch with closed circuit should be replaced.

- The part number for the LF or RR burner switch is AP2023854

- The part number for the RF or LR burner switch is AP2023620
