I have a Maytag French door refrigerator with bottom freezer and front water and ice dispenser. The front panel control pad lights are flashing and the ice dispenser door keeps opening and closing. What could be the problem?

The model number you posted does not come up. Is it American model?
Verify and repost it please.
Gene.

I found why the model number you posted did not come up. The correct model number is MF I2568AES . You typed "1" instead of "I" after "F". The problem is the power supply circuit on the high voltage control board (#13 on the diagram) failed. The correction is to replace the high voltage control board. - The high voltage control board Part number: AP4014490

I am experiencing the same problem...started last night.
I have called Maytag, and while the part is backordered, they assure me that this is a recognized quality issue and will be repaired for free.
If you are lucky enough to have a basement/garage fridge and can hang on until they are able to find and install the part I think it is worth the $:D
I was very pleased that even though my refrigerator is 3 1/2 years old, well past the warranty period, Maytag is willing to step up and stand behind their product.:)

In my case the lights are blinking only when the compressor turn on. I was already thinking that the main control panel transformer and power supply were not giving enough voltage to the control board in the front where the water dispensing is.
the fridge is working but I am afraid that is going to damage the ice dispenser with the opening and closing.
i will call maytag, but it maybe cheaper to get a new control panel tomorrow.
thanks for the postings.

Hi Joe,
What is the complete model number of the refrigerator?
What is the part number of the board you installed?
Did you program it?
Gene.
