First- my Dryer is GE but inside is says to call whirlpool? Second- It ran all night and was not really warm this morning...I did notice some warmth on the clothes but the machine was cool to the touch.
Can anyone help with this? Please!

Tom:confused: Tom, The model number you supplied, is a Whirlpool model number. You first need to check the lint filter and make sure its been cleaned before the dryer is started. Also check and make sure the exhaust venting system and vent exhaust hood is not blocked or clogged with lint and debris.You may want to test the dryer with the vent disconnected to verify the operation. Joe,
Thanks for the quick response. I always clean the lint...drives me crazy when my wife does not!
I will disconnect the vent and check and clean...wondering why that would cause the dryer to run all night...I did have it on a low heat non timed setting....

Tom, For future reference, When using the "Auto Advance" settings on the control panel, the dryer has to reach the proper drum temperature, so the regulating thermostat opens and closes properly and re routes the circuit to the timer motor, and the dial advances. If there is a problem in the air flow ( dirty filter, clogged vent/or hood etc.) and the hi limit safety thermostat opens and turns the heat source off, the regulating thermostat doesn't cycle and it doesn't complete the circuit to the timer motor and the timer doesn't advance. Hi,
Thanks so much. I cleaned everything including the vent to the outside. IT was clean but the lint was not....Wife left it again...that was so full....\
Seems that you described exactly what happened.
