Hi Steve,

Most likely the problem is a bad bake igniter (#28 on the break down diagram).

- The part number for the bake igniter is AP2014008

Here are the break down diagrams for the GE range Model JGBP86WEA2WW

Thanks Gene, The problem is that when I touch bake on the key pad nothing happens. No beep nothing. If I push say broil it will beep and and flash Hi/LO, as well as all the other functions. Two monts ago I replaced the igniter, when that went bad I pushed the bake on the key-pad it beeped and the temp display showed 100 degrees but the it never turned on. Since I replaced it it has been working fine, till now. I have gone as far as replacing the control unit with no luck. I was thinking the only thing left is the key-pad (which is expensive) any thoughts? thanks again

Hi Steve,

You are right, the key panel has to be replaced to solve this problem and it is expensive.

- The part number for the key panel is AP2035214

Gere,
Replaced the key panel and we are cooking (baking) with gas. Thanks much for your time and advice.

Hi Steve,

I'm glad you were able to fix it.
