Replaced an igniter about three weeks ago. All was well until last week it started to burn very hot with long sooty yellow flame.
What should we look at?

I'm assuming you are talking about the bake burner for the lower oven. If that's not the case, let me know.

Inspect the burner. Sounds like there might be a big hole burnt through the metal, probably right where the igniter is.

The burner is #21 on this diagram.
