I washed a sleeping bag the other day. It did not drain. I tried it again, and it would not spin. I emptied out the washer, and looked at the belt. I turned it a few times. I got washer to spin, but it was very noisy. I then tried to do a very small load, and it would not spin. It kept tripping out, and was very loud.

Did your sleeping bag rip apart in the wash, if so the stuffing may be clogged in your drain pump

No, it was fine. When I messed with the belt, and got it to run briefly, it was draining fine.

The belt and pulley system seems to be very tight to turn.

The sleeping bag was intact. It just will not spin. When I breifly get it to spin, it is veryloud, and may be smoking. Pully and belt are very tight, and hard to turn.

Pull the belt off the trannt pulley and turn the pulley in the spin direction. If very hard to turn, you have something jamming the tub.Shine a lite in the tub to verify. You will need to pull the top off the tub and use a coat hanger to fish it out.
