Our icemaker stopped dispensing over the weekend. There is ice in the tray. In the past, this problem has been caused by an ice cube lodged in the "fingers" but not the case this time. Any solution other than replacing the unit? Is the icemaker easy to replace for the average homeowner?

I'm afraid I did not get it clear. It does not dispense ice through the door or it does not release ice cubes from the ice maker into the ice container?

Hi Gene!

The ice maker is not sweeping the ice out of the ice maker into the hopper.

Open the freezer door. Push in the flapper door on the left side and watch the status LED on the right side. Post the results.

Gene,

The LED status light is not on in either position. Turned the switch off and back on and LED is still dark.

Hi Gene,

New sensor did the same thing, no light w/ the flapper open or depressed. Put the old sensor back in. It will blink when I depress the light button @ the top to simulate the door being closed.

???

Now the old sensor blinks when door is open and steady on when flapper closed!
