I have a Kenmore side by side and the panel between the freezer and fridge is really hot to touch any ideals as to what it might be.

Usually this is dirty condenser coils under the unit and/or the condenser fan is not operating correctly.
Coils can be cleaned with a long thin brush and a vacuum. Be gentle when doing this.
I remove my kick plate and rear cover and then roll the unit to an open kitchen door. I then blow them clean with a compressor and most of the dust ends up outside. A leaf blower also works. But this may not be possible for you depending on your kitchen setup and what tools you own. |
