I have a 9 year old Whirlpool refrigerator of the above model number that now drips water into the frig area from the diffuser area. The freezer is fine and the frig is cold, as a matter of fact I have ice in the bottom of the frig. This unit is in my garage which can get quit hot during the daytime (95+). I've had this problum for about two weeks now.

I need some help finding the problum.

Usually it happens if the door was open too frequently or it was ajar. Remove all ice from the diffuser and check the door seals.

Because of the improper model number I thought it is a SxS fridge. Now I realized this is a top-mount refrigerator and it makes some difference in the diagnosis of such problem.

Most likely the cause of it is a clogged and/or frozen drain.

Remove the freezer floor and the rear panel in the freezer. Check the drain (under the evaporator coil). You can use a hair dryer to defrost it and then run a few cups of hot water through the drain.
