Just replaced the front panel to get my dishwasher up and running. The unit runs for a very long time in wash mode, leading me to believe it is trying to heat the water to a higher temperature. I have tried turning up the temp of the water heater and running water at the faucet prior to starting the dishwasher. Neither of these helped. Do I need to replace the heater coil too? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks Gary

Gary, Check the water temperature inside the dishwasher. There are two parts in the heating circuit which you have to check for continuity to figure out what is wrong with the dishwasher. They are: the high limit thermostat (#30 on the diagram) and the heating element. The high limit thermostat should show about 0 Ohms resistance and the heating element should be about 10 - 35 Ohms. You also can run the Diagnosis cycle as described in the Tech sheet. Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL KUDI01ILBL2 Undercounter Dishwasher | AppliancePartsPros.comGene.
