I think Kenmore makes this, but I heard that it also might be a Whirlpool.
Load will agitate but not spin or drain.....any help you can give me?

Kenmore makes nothing. This washer made by Whirlpool for Sears and sold under Kenmore name.

You may want to check the lid switch first.

Gene, if the lid is down the whole time and the washer will agitate but just not spin or drain....does the lid switch control that?

Does the motor run when it should spin?

Does it make any noise?

Now you need an Ohmmeter. Remove the washer cabinet. Check the motor, motor wire harness and the timer. Here is the Wiring diagram.

Gene,

Any chance I can get a copy of that Wiring diagram? I am having the same problem with the Galaxy machine. Same model same problem, not draining. So is it the lid switch or the pump?

Quincy,

A faulty lid switch is very common problem while a bad motor is very rare. You do not need any diagrams to check the lid switch. Just close the lid and if the switch would not click - this is the culprit.

In case of any further questions post the complete model number of the washer.

If the washer does nothing and it is silent, most likely the problem is a bad lid switch.
