Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 5/12/2008(UTC) Posts: 1		Hello, I tested what I believe to be the thermal fuse on the top of the long metal tube of my dryer (i was getting no heat and my timer was not working). I set my ohm meter to 200Ω and got a reading of .1 or so. I also tested the lower fuse on the same metal tube and it was 9.2 with the meter set at 200Ω. I am basically looking for the correct fuse to buy and where to buy it. Thanks! -GJ

I’m not quite sure why you are getting 9 ohms that’s about the resistance you would normally see at the element itself. Are you going directly across the two terminals of the stat itself?
