 I replaced the water inlet valve and my washer still dribbles in the tub by the time I get home i have a full tub of water. Defective part or maybe its the water level pressure switch?

Does the same thing happen when you leave the machine unplugged?

At first it looked like the water was still dripping but now that the power has been shut off to it for some time i can tell that it is not, so it only leaks when it is plugged in

Then it sounds like you have a bad valve. They get fouled up with deposits from the water, and won't close all the way. If you just clean the screns at the valve inlet, there's a chance for damage to the screen(s), making a bigger hole and allowing more sediments into the valve.
