I am looking for a replacement ice maker for a U-line ice maker model B-195. It is on a 1995 Maxum boat. My assumption is there is a suitable replacement made by another appliance manufacturer.

U-Line still offers a marine version of the small icemaker series. I suggest you call 1-800-779-2547 or go to U-line for additional information.

Why are you replacing your icemaker? If it's not working and you would want to attempt a repair, you could call 1-800-779-2547 or go to U-Line Service - Welcome to U-LINE Service

The ice maker is leaking water from the back of the unit and sometimnes around the middle causing chunks of ice in the bucket. I have checked the water inlet and found no problems. My next thought is to replace the ice maker (not the whole unit), but I have since read other messages that indicate I may have a water solenoid problem. Any other advice??

First of all, it sounds as if all the water is leaking from the around the icemaker area into the ice bucket or behind it. Let's confirm that....

If this is true, then the water is not getting to the icemaker (problem with the fill tube/fill cup) at the back of the icemaker, or there's just too much water.

If we think there's too much water, then I see a couple of potential problems. One the water adjustment is too high and there's too much water coming in. There's an adjustment under the white icemaker cover. Second, it might be going around twice for each ice cycle and double cyline which is also a double fill. In this case, you should turn the main control knob to a colder (higher number) on the control dial.

One suggestion is to raise the wire bin arm and close the door. Wait for the icemaker to shut down, this means the ice is frozen in the mold and waiting to harvest. When it's off with the bin arm up, open the door and watch the ice harvest with a flashlight. The white fingers will come around and hit the ice, then they will stall on the ice until the heater breaks them loose. Once they come out and drop, the water will be flowing in near the end of the harvest cycle. Watch for this water fill, is all the water going into the mold (or leaking down the back wall), is it overflowing out of the little icemaker hole (water level too high) or double cycling (going around twice which needs a colder control setting on the main control knob).

Thank you for your helpful suggestions! I have re-adjusted the water level (cube size) under the white cover in the past. Ice cubes did change sizes, got smaller as expected, but the drip still occurred. That makes me think it may not be an overfill condition, but I will go through the steps you described to verify how it is working.

I have noticed the fill tube extends over half way into the fill cup. Could that be a source of water possibly "splashing" when it is filling, and running down the back of the cabinet? Is there a a proper set up I should check for? I have also noticed the amount of leakage into the ice bucket has varied at times. Since this is installed on a boat and exposed to temperature changes, I will also try turning up the cold setting as you suggested.

If you are sure of the water inlet and level, then let's try the colder setting, I suspect you are intermittently having a double cycle.
