Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 3/30/2010(UTC) Posts: 2		My Kenmore 90 series washer fills, but won't agitate or drain. There is a hum for a short time then all is quiet. I took it apart and the coupler looks fine. All the parts seem to spin freely execpt for the water pump is stff.

Protect from any wire-to-metal contace and jump the lid switch. See if the motor will run without a load attached. If it does, attach the pump to it and try it again. if it runs, there's something wrong in the gearcase. Post your results.

I had to reset it by plugging it in then opening and closing the lid 6 times in 12 seconds. Then it started spinning again. When all checking was done it turned out to be a small sock in the pump. I purchaced a new pump and all is working well. Thank you.
