First off thanks to all of you that contribute to this forum, I have used it and saved $100's in the past year or so fixing mutliple appliance problems. I used it to repair my oven last year (Whirlpool GBD307PDB09) and am now back with a new problem that I don't see any answers to. Last year I had to to replace both the Oven shut down thermal fuse and the Control Panel Thermal Fuse due to the self cleaning problem with this model. NOW, while the oven was not in use the control panel beeped about 5-6 times and the display went blank; pushing buttons results in beeps but no apparant function. Shut down power and power up results in single beep and then 5-6 beeps approximately 1 minute later. So far I have checked and ruled out: Control Panel Thermal fuse Oven shutdown Thermal Fuse Sister Board (ciruit closed) Control power transformer is outputing about 2V too high (is the panel that sensative?) the OHMS are also out of range input is supposed to be between 75-95 and is at 58 output is supposed to be <1 and is 2 I am following the directions from a previous post right now, I have unplugged the control panel power ribbon and powered up will plug it all back in, in a few hours to check, but the beeps have already done their thing. Any suggestions welcomed?

I am having the exact same problem. After I start the oven, the display goes blank after a few minutes. Push the buttons and it beeps, but does not do anything else. Wait a half hour or so, and the display is back, and oven works fine. It has now done this twice - yesterday and about two months ago. In between, everything was fine. Any ideas on what the problem is?

It went off last week, then came back on as we pushed some buttons. Now, won't come on. Advice? Submitted: 444 days and 14 hours ago. Hey all, I ended up replacing the entire control panel, found one with a lifetime warranty for the tune of $161+ change. It fixed my problem and has been working fine since Nov. Hope that helps.:) Originally Posted by: kray fellow posters: Mine and my neighbor's same Built-In Electric Convection Oven (GBD307PDB7) is doing the same thing and mine is completely dark now. Could you tell me where you bought a control panel for under $200? With a lifetime warranty (I would LOVE to have that) I am having the same problem everyone else is. I think it is horrible that these electronic advances are causing perfectly good appliances to be trashed. Give me the stone age mechanics! They did not obsolesce after 5 years...Anyway, I would be very grateful if someone could help me avoid buying another oven...thank you!

I am wondering if there is a video on how to open the board assembly without cracking any parts. My double stacked oven model number is RBD245PDS14 Any ideas would help!
