This dryer runs (drum spins) but never heats up. I just replaced the igniter and 2 coils but no luck. Any suggestions on what I should try next?
Thanks, Carl

Does the igniter come on (starts glowing) when the dryer is on?

Check flame sensor for continuity (#13 on this diagram), also check the thermal cut-off (looks like a thermostat, less than an inch in diameter).

Doesn't really sound like the same problem, Peg. Click here, then click on the POST NEW TOPIC button and describe your problem in detail. Don't forget to include the model number of your Amana dryer.

The terminal for the white wire on the flame sensor broke off. I had seen the white wire laying there but couldnt figure out where it went and assumed it wasn't being used. Looks like I should try replacing the flame sensor now? I don't see anyway of repairing the broken terminal. Thanks for the guidance, Carl

If the male terminal, which is part of the sensor, broke off then you'll have to replace the sensor. No way to fix it really.

Good job on finding the problem!
